Campur campur

I've decided apart from doing toilet reviews, I'm also going to write about places which are nice to go to - be it food joints or boutiques or whatever, as long as the waiters/employees are friendly and polite, I'm gonna write about them. Why? Because I'm very anal about service and I think GOOD service is a rarity in KL.

Jack's Place in One Utama is a restaurant which specializes in seafood - apparently they're from Singapore - and I was there about a month ago. The manager greeted us and when I said I wanted to sit outside, he was nice enough to tell me that it's hot, haha. The waiters were attentive, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and they were polite, like they'd address you as 'Sir' or 'Madam', and they understood what a serviette was (*coughs*Delicious Midvalley*coughs*). I think it's a nice place to go to cause you can order something simple like soup or salad if you don't feel like eating something heavy, and they'd not roll their eyes or something, like some places you go to, they kinda tend to give you attitude when you don't order a proper meal, knowwatImean?

Anyway. Another place with friendly workers is Sheela's Beauty Center, in Bangsar. That's where I go to for threading. It's on the first floor between the money changer and AM Bank. Do NOT go to the threading place further down after the money changer cause they're pretty unfriendly. Sheela's, on the other hand, is polite, charges only RM8 for eyebrows and upper lip threading, and they do a lot of things from henna to facials (I've done a brazillian, threading and a facial there).

Now a toilet review.

Cineleisure - so far I've been only going to the loos on the first floor, where Scarlet is. I don't really like it cause it's damn stuffy, there aren't a lot of cubicles, and if you're there at night, you're always surrounded by drunk girls who are puking their guts out cause they can't hold their drinks very well. Mistake! Go to the loos in the basement, where the eateries are. It's way bigger and there aren't a lot of people there, so it's fairly clean. Remember to get the toilet paper (free) at the entrance though.

Tandas

Wah the tandas at Zeta Bar has hot chicks above the sinks. Or was it the urinal bowls?

Anyway I know not because I sneaked in and made out with someone, neither am I secretly a man, but because Mike took a picture.

I'll post it here when I can curi it from him. And yes I assume the loos are immaculately clean. Even if it isn't, which man would care right? They'd probably end up kissing the wall anyway if they're drunk or desperate enough.

More kencings

I've thought of more reviews while waiting for a very slow website to load (I can't work like this!! The necessary sites go on a damn turtle-like pace!)

Bangsar Village 2: Very good.

The Gardens (same floor as Yogitree and Energy): Very good.

Hartamas Square: Cleanliness is average. There's no loo paper in both the squatting and sitting stalls. Expect the floors to be wet because somehow people who go there like to splash water around. The doors are kinda flimsy too haha.

Plaza Mont Kiara: Old but clean loos. Toilet paper's there but sometimes they run out.

Kencings

Today I decided that my blog will have a special section which is called Kencings. Or Beraks. Whichever you like lah. I'm going to write about public toilets I've set my feet in / sat my ass on in Malaysia (mostly KL).

My first review is on the loos at Tropicana City Mall. If you don't know where that is - which won't be surprising because it's very new and empty - it's the half-finished building opposite Desa Kiara Condo on the LDP.

I give two thumbs up for this tandas. It's very clean and neutral-smelling, and there are toilet papers in the stalls. Once you've washed your hands with soap and water (well I bloody hope you do), you can choose between paper towels or the automatic hand dryer to dry your hands.

Things may change a few months down the line if the mall becomes more popular and more people go there. But we'll see and I shall be writing about it if it worsens!
